DIFFICULTY

The ultimate hangover cure and daytime drink rolled into one. Spicy, savory, tangy, and ice-cold — a Michelada turns any Mexican lager into something way more interesting than beer.

  • 2 oz Clamato or tomato juice
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 dashes hot sauce (Tapatío or Valentina)
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  • Tajin or chili salt for the rim
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Ice

When To Serve

PERFECT FOR

Daytime events, brunches, taco bars, morning-after celebrations, and sports watch parties.

Customize

MAKE IT YOUR OWN

Michelada with shrimp (Michelada Cubana), build-your-own station with chamoy and Tajin, or a Chelada (just beer + lime + salt for lighter guests).

Bartender's Secret

Pro tip: Chill the glass in the freezer for 15 minutes before building. A frosted glass keeps the beer crisp and the drink ice-cold for longer.
